Bosso Brasserie

Outdoor Terrace at Bosso Brasserie

Yesterday, summer (or a heatwave) finally arrived in Luxembourg! Temps were in the high-80’s F all day long and the sky was an ideal blue.

We enjoyed an al fresco lunch with our new friend Sophie at Bosso Brasserie in the Grund. This was the perfect spot for a steamy Sunday, since the back patio is shaded. The international menu was overwhelming and contained everything from salads and pastas and potato röstis to fish and various schnitzels, including curry and coconut. I had a späetzle omelette, which I’d never heard of, but involved two of my favorite foods. It was light and cheesy and the späetzle was slightly crisped. Delicious! Sophie enjoyed a salad that featured grilled feta on slices of bread over a green salad and Angelo devoured a Flammeküeche, a pizza-ish concoction, with feta, tomatoes, olive, peppers and cheese.

Sophie is French and gave us a good tip: if you don’t want an ingredient, just request it on the side instead of asking the chef to leave it out it. In France, and likely in most of Europe, asking for omissions is frowned upon, so this is a great recommendation.
