Nancy’s Marché de Noël

Two short rows makes up Nancy’s Christmas market

Unless you’re dying to see Nancy in December, don’t bother wasting your time with this market. The main part is set up in Place Maginot and there’s a modest row of stands with mediocre goods and appealing food. We especially liked the macaroons and sables.

This bakery’s sugary scents wafted through the market

Over near the Marché (an enticing, huge indoor market with everything from produce to bread to seafood to foie gras to pastries), a small row of kiosks with local artisans is off to the side. We loved the wares of a local potter, but scratched our heads at the man selling wooden pens and the few knick-knack vendors.

Oddly, there were at least two churro vendors
