10 Club Membership Paying Off
Pearl Jam’s 20th Anniversary Festival at Alpine Valley Music Theatre was without a doubt the best show I’ve ever seen. That’s saying a lot since I’m ho-hum on Pearl Jam, have seen them before (completely underwhelming at Madison Square Garden) and have seen some pretty high-energy, big-budget shows by bands I worship like the Rolling Stones (including when they were a couple of decades younger).
Pearl Jam played for almost three hours with complete energy and brought out guest like Josh Homme, Chris Cornell, Julian Casablancas and Liam Finn to contribute extra power.
We arrived in time to see Queens of the Stone Age and The Strokes, both of whom were great. Eddie Vedder jumped in during “Juicebox” and stole that number clean.
