- The Blue Lady, or, Nana
One of Luxembourg’s most popular landmarks is The Blue Lady, a sculpture by French-born, America-raised Niki de Saint Phalle. The Blue Lady is actually a ‘Nana’, the artist’s expression of everywoman. The Nanas considered archetypal female figures in relation to their position in society. The first one was exhibited in Paris in September 1965.
