Bourbon Coffee

Bourbon Coffee, New York City

Bourbon Arabica coffee has grown wild in Rwanda for over a century, and this is the first African retailer to bring this specialty to the U.S. Rwandan farmers collectively nurture and harvest beans from five regions, each with distinct soil and climates: Akagera, Kivu Lake, Kizi Rift, Muhazi and Virunga.

Bourbon Coffee buys coffee directly from Rwandan farmers, controls the entire supply chain and returns profits to the growers. There are three cafes in Kigali. This is the second U.S. location.

The drip coffees and espressos are superior to larger chain coffee houses but the ice-blended Fredos should not be missed.
