In Brugge, Part 2

Where we ate, drank and stayed:

‘T Bagientje: avoid the touristy cafes and sit on the porch to enjoy a Brujse Zot dubbel beer.

Chocolat oe Praline: every chocolate shop claims it is the best. I didn’t try them all, but I can assure you Chocolat oe Praline was a standout.

De Postilijon: lunch here was tasty, simple and much better than the unremarkable dinner we enjoyed at a forgettable restaurant the night before.

Crowne Plaza: This was among the nice hotels and one of the only ones that was not sold out. It was also the only one without lace (yes, lace, what Brugge is known for) and doilies in the web photos. This was centrally located, right off Burg and Markt, with a good-sized, comfortable room and a standard European breakfast buffet. No complaints at all.
